when I reported the damage to the chair leg, I was told that the company would repair it. But the same delivery people were coming back to pick up the chair and it would be two weeks in the shop. Since I did not want to repaint the woodwork again, I declined the repair had it done by a local furniture maker who did it in my home with no further damage to woodwork or the chair. As for the ceiling, I hate to even think what remedy Calico would provide after these two different vendors made such a mess. I note that the upholstery company is not the same as the one that did the work in the two earlier rooms.

I JUST had a sofa and chair reupholstered and window treatments made for a total of 32 feet of windows. In delivering the reupholstered furniture, the delivery men banged into the doorways so badly that I had to repaint the wood work on two doorways and the chair leg suffered a sizable chunk chipped out of it. With the window treatments, the installers made a hole in the ceiling and tried -- unsuccessfully -- to patch it such that I now have to repaint the entire ceiling.
Was very pleased. Christine was so helpful in selecting the fabric and design. The quality of the window treatment was wonderful and the installers were very experienced and respectful of my home. I plan to order treatment for another room soon.
I have been to this store and location several times, have yet to be asked if I needed any help, I must say, its fun not to be bothered as they always seem to be pre-occupied with their phones.
It only took one time to swear I'd never go back to this location. Not only were they incredibly rude and condescending in their attitude toward my children being in the store( that in itself is inexcusable) but they also suggested and sold us fabric that wasn't even meant for the chairs we were reupholstering! Do yourself a favor ad visit the Ramsey store for good service and knowledgeable staff.
DIASAPPOINTED -- I had done two rooms -- reupholstery, window treatments, pillows -- previously with Calico in East Hanover, and both were great successes. Three times was NOT the charm, however.
So, I am done with Calico.
